  1. 1) I love sour power especially rainbow flavour. They are long strands coated with sour powder which will taste even better when it is cold.
    2)Yes. I still like to sour power, warheads and last but not least lakerol.
    3)The gummy sweets which are sold in 7-eleven or pasar malam.

  2. 1. What kind of sweets / candies did you like as a child? Describe them.
    I liked the "Rabbit Sweets" that my grandmother always gave me when I visited her. They were made of hardened cream and were milk-flavoured.

    2. Do you still eat sweets? If yes, which ones? If no, what do you like to eat instead?
    Yes I do. Sometimes I still eat the "Rabbit Sweets" , but most of the time I eat "Fruit Plus" instead.

    3. What do you think is / are an equivalent of penny sweets in Singapore?
    I think that the equivalent of penny sweets in Singapore are the sweets that are sold in convenience stores in big chunks.

  3. 1) I liked eating mentos. They usually come in different flavors like grape and tropical flavor. They cause coca-cola to spout of of bottles when placed in a bottle of coca-cola.
    2)Yes. I like eating Gobstoppers and mentor still.
    3)The equivalent would be gold coin chocolate sold at street shops.

  4. 1)I love Fizzy cola.They have the colour of dark caramel and have a sweet yet carbonated taste.
    2)No I do not eat sweets.
    3)Gummy bears!

  5. 1. I like to eat fruit candies, especially fruit plus. They come in different flavors and I like the grape most

    2. I still eat sweets like mentos and of course, fruit plus

    3. The equivalent would be gummy candies sold at some places and you pay a certain amount of money for the amount of those sweets you buy.

  6. 1. I like to eat MIC(Made in Candy) and Sticky especially the sour ones.
    2. I still eat sweets but I only buy MIC as Sticky is not really nice anymore>.<
    3. The equivalent is that you can buy a lot of the candies at the convenience store at a cheap price.

  7. 1] As a child, I loved eating gummy bears. Gummy bears come in different colours and all of them were made in the shape of a bear.

    2] I still like to eat sweets like mentos and rock candy.

    3] That would be places like 7 eleven that charge you based on the weight of the candy that you have taken.

  8. 1. As a child, I like to eat different kinds of sweets. From fizzy colas all the way to mentos. I loved gobstoppers the most. They're really colourful and hard to chew at first but it kind of melts in your mouth after sucking on it for some time.

    2. Yes, I still eat sweets and I love Sticky, a kind of hard candy with different images and texts on it. There is a HUGE variety of flavours and there are even 'hard candied' lollipops!

    3. I think that the different gummies and chewy sweets, or even marshmallows you find in 7-11, those that are sold like 100g for a few dollars. Those are like penny sweets.

  9. 1) I liked to eat those kinds of gummies that were coated in sugar when I was young. To me, they were very sweet and when I was young I had a sweet tooth.
    2) I still eat sweets. Nowadays I eat those kinds of sweets that require more sucking compared to chewing. But if someone were to offer me those that I ate as a young kid I wouldn't mind.
    3) I think convenience stores that have no proper name are like the Penny Sweets in Singapore.

  10. 1. I liked eating Polo sweets and Fox candy. The Polo sweets was mint flavoured and had was circular in shape and had a hole in the middle. The fox candy came in different flavours but I liked the mint one the most.
    2. I still eat the Polo sweets and Fox candy.
    3. I think it is the sugary candies which you get in 7-11.

  11. 1) I used to like eating all kinds of sweets when I was young, whatever the flavour but I liked a kind of chewy candy the most.
    2) I do not like to eat sweets anymore. I currently prefer foods that are more dry like chips and other snacks that I can nibble on
    3) I would think that mentos and the kind that you collect the amount and type that you want and then the price was calculated using it's weight.

  12. 1) I like Mentos, especially the mint ones. They are white in colour.
    2) No I don't. I like to eat cookies and other snacks.
    3) The ones that you buy in a huge packet at some of the stores/supermarkets like NTUC, or the convenience store just below the block you stay.

  13. 1) I really liked gummy bears and fruit plus when I was younger. Gummy bears were in all different colours and my favourite were red and the one that looks rather transparent. I always save it for last but then they would get eaten up by my brother so I eat them first now. My favourite fruit plus colour was purple (grape) but as for taste, I liked the apple (green) one best. I used to always get grape but now I eat apple more often.

    2) Yes I still eat sweets. I like eating milk candies now. Best if it has chocolate bits in it. I also eat mentos, Lollytalk (hard candies) and gum (if available)

    3) Near my house there is a 'corner shop', and they do still sell 'penny sweets' at a more expensive price compared to the past. Shops like 7-11 also offer sweets (eg. gummies) that are priced according with the amount you choose.

    3) I think that the equivalent would be gummy bears.

  15. I loved eating gummy sweets.there are teddy bears ,coke bottles,and apple rings
    Now i eat any type of sweets but i prefer those really sour sweets like "sour lemon"
    I think it is those type of sweets we buy during chinese new year when 100g for2$

  16. 1)I liked to eat Mentos. They came in different colours and that was what which attracted me to them.They also had different fruity flavours.
    2)I still eat mentos and also fruitella.
    3)Gummy Bears or other types of sugary candies sold at general stores

    I always liked to eat those kind of soft sweets or gummy bears as a child.

    2. Do you still eat sweets? If yes, which ones? If no, what do you like to eat instead?
    Now I eat organic peppermint sweets(I think the brand is yummy earth).

    3. What do you think is / are an equivalent of penny sweets in Singapore?
    I think the sweets that come in a huge packet are an equivalent of penny sweets in Singapore.

    I absolutely loved the "Rabbit sweets" which were made in China. It is actually hardened milk wrapped in a weird dissolvable plastic or something.

    2. Do you still eat sweets? If yes, which ones? If no, what do you like to eat instead?
    Yes! How could a person not like sweets? For me, I love chewing gum and I only eat it when I go to Malaysia and India. Other than that, I still like the "Rabbit sweets"
    3. What do you think is / are an equivalent of penny sweets in Singapore?

    I think it would me the Gummy bears and the sweets that 7-11 sells.

  19. 1) I like to eat gummies. They are soft but hard to chew and are sugar- coated.
    2) Yes. I eat gummies,stickies and mentos.
    3) The sweets that are individually kept in front of the counter are equivalent to the penny sweets as they are cheap to buy nowadays.

  20. 1) When I was a child I do not have the habit of eating sweets but I prefer Ricola and Hi-chew the most. Ricola is like eating a rubber while Hi-chew is very chewy. I think that is how Hi-chew got its name.
    2) I don't really like sweets but if my father buys any I will have one or two and that's it. I prefer eating crackers and meals.
    3) I think we can get sweets in 7 eleven or in neighbourhood provision shops. The more grams you buy the more expensive it is.

  21. 1)I like gummy bears as a child. Gummy bears are sweets that has a slightly sweet and sour taste and they are soft.
    2)Yes,I eat mentos and gummy bears.
    3)A lollipop should be an equivalent of penny sweets.
