Intro to... Narratives

Why Do I Think Planning A Plot Structure And The Sequencing Of Details Are Important Before I Write A Narrative.

Planning a plot helps you do many things that just making one up as you write does not. Such as creating a twist. If you do not plan your plot first, you cannot make the plot build up to the twist. Or perhaps you just want to make your plot follow chronological order, without planning it will be excessively difficult. The sequencing of details help create a more suspenseful effect, which in turn will make your story much better. Suspense ,after all, makes your reader want to continue reading. By slowly adding the details of the story instead of just throwing all the details in one big splat. After all, everyone wants their stories to be read.

In conclusion, these 2 are vital to a good story. As long as they are used properly, they can prove to be  powerful tools to a writer.

Introduction to narrative by Nimalan

Why do you think planning a plot structure and the sequencing of details are important before you write  a narrative?

Since narrative is a well-defined plot we have to plan the plot structure so that we can fully develop the story and can even generate twists. We have to sequence the details so that we can avoid confusing the audience between the series of event of the narrative. Thus it should be in a chronological order.

EL question 27/3/13

Why do you think planning a plot structure and the sequencing of details are important before you write a narrative?

If one does not plan the plot structure, when writing, one can easily get lost in the story and not be able to generate any more ideas for what to write about next; but if the proper plot structure is planned out, the main ideas will already be there and one only needs to generate "sub-ideas" for the rest of the story.

why do you think planning a plot structure and the sequencing of details are important before you write a narrative?

-  If you start writing a narrative before planning the sequence of what will happen, half way through writing the story you are bound to get stuck and would have to waste time trying to think of how to continue the story. By planning the plot, you would already know what you want to write in the story and would least likely get stuck, therefore saving time.

Introduction to Narratives

Why do you think planning a plot structure and the sequencing of details are important before you write a narrative?

Narratives are stories that one reads out. The story must be well-ordered to make sense and present a plot well. Without a proper presentation, the narrative cannot be presented well and the reader cannot understand. Every story must rise and fall. Without proper planning, the writer may not be able to make it rise and fall, and thus the story makes no sense.
