Why do you think planning a plot structure and the sequencing of details are important before you write a narrative?

A narrative usually has a well-defined plot. Thus, planning a plot structure helps us to fully develop the main plot or even generate sub-plots and twists. Sequencing of details helps us avoid confusion between the series of events in our narrative, as we need to arrange the events in chronological order.
