Personification

A tree.
At the corner of our little village, there stood an old tree which looked like it was there for 60 years. When it rains, I would look out of the window and see the branches of the old tree danced and swayed as the strong wind blew against it. Leaves would fall onto the ground gently during autumn, and I used to play with the leaves along with my friends.

Personification - Chin Ning

The sun shone menacingly across the azure blue sky, where the magnolia-white dotted cloud were. The heat radiated from the pavement and the hot air lingered around in the atmosphere. Perspiration trickled down my temples and my clothes clung onto me like a second layer of skin. I switched on my fan to full blast and tousled my raven-black hair around. Soon, I could no longer withstand the excruciating heat. I grabbed my keys, mobile phone and wallet and headed out to the library.

personification (laviin)

item : wall

Water and mud smashes on to it when it is raining. However, without squirming uncomfortably and drowning itself in sorrows, it will just sit still and persevere throughout its torture. It will not fear and run away from its fate and problems. All humans must be like this thing which will persevere the whole until it collapses. This the life of a wall

For EL Paper 1 - TAKE NOTE(:

Personification

I shall be using a crow for my personification

Example 1:
The crow talon's pierced the tree's branch,
while it scouted out the area,
like the predator it was,
It lashed it's wings out and swooped down,
the worm's life was over.
The bird devoured it and flew back to it's
branch where it bid it's time once more.

Example 2:
The crow stood on the branch of it's tree,
it brushed it's magnificent feathers as
it looked around for a tasty lunch this afternoon,
the crow straightened up and glided swiftly,
down to the worm.
The crow ate it's lunch in a hurry and
flew back to it's cozy branch.

It was the perfect weather to go for a jog, but tuition was inevitable.

ITEM: white board

There is a whiteboard in my class. Like what the name states, it is white in color. It is very helpful. It helps us learn. It is our teachers helper. It can be naughty at times. One reason why it keeps standing is that it has two best friends. They are the whiteboard duster and the markers.

Off goes the left side of the earpiece chasing after the right side. Playing chase is one of their favourite games, even if they end up falling into a tangled heap. One other hobby of the two best friends include singing melodious pieces. They always know where to draw the line and keep the music only to themselves and the audience who enjoys what is being played.

Objects:

•Wind
•Clouds

Leaves danced through the air, forming a synchronised dance. Descriptive paragraph (the old house)

At the middle of Boring street stood the old abandoned house. It had been vacant for at least fifty years. To look at it was a sore to the eyes. It was so dilapidated that no one wanted to live in there. It's roof was crooked and it looked like as if it was frowning at the street. The door of the house looked like as if it was the mouth of the house and it seemed to be groaning. The interior of the house was no better.Cobwebs hung at every corner in the house.Thick layers of dust covered everything in the house. The garden outside was a mess of overgrown weeds. The house is so run-down that people do not even go to the street it is in.

Personification

A tree.
The enormous tree remained unmoved by the wind. However, its branches and leaves danced wildly in the strong wind. Some of the leaves broke off from the tree and fell to the ground in a graceful manner. By now the ground around the tree had been covered by piles of brownish- red leaves.

EL Stuff (Describing characters) A vain woman

A suspicious man by Sean,Claire,Taufiq and Nimalan

A suspicious man

Sean: PB, H, SB, A, E, T, S, OO
I glanced around busy street and tipped my bowler hat downwards to cover my face. “Too many people for my liking.” I snorted. In my dictionary, that was no good as my classy black suit made pretty much every commuter stare in my direction. Standing out just made my work much harder. This was very displeasing indeed. My job, if you would call it one, required me to play my cards close to my vest. Which suited my style perfectly. Smirking to myself, I slinked towards my newest target just like the countless times before.

A Proud Teenager (Jian Qing, Walter, Chin Ning, Victoria)

Paragraph: _______________ does his usual routine of strutting around the class, showing off his latest new watch. Being scrawny, but tall and extremely well-dressed, he stood out from what he calls ‘commoners’ .“ Look! My dad bought this watch for me the moment it was released into the market! He forked out $1000 just for this watch, but nothing is too much for me!” he boasts, with his nose high up in the air. Some swooned over the expensive and classy new watch, while others ostracised him. “What a brat. So spoilt, and proud! I bet he wants to snub us, that’s the only reason why he shows off all his new clothes, watches and more!” They gossiped in hushed voices.
