1] what is an information report?

An information report is a factual text, which means it provides information about something. An information report is used as a way to gain a better understanding about a living or non-living subject. 

2] Where are they commonly found?

In factual texts about an object.


Language features :
·         Technical language (e.g Geography terms: evaporation, water cycle, condensation, etc)
·         Simple present tense
·         Linking verbs (e.g. made up of, consists of, caused by, etc)
·         Generalised terms (e.g. humans, plants, weather, etc)
